President Rick Case started Nite Ize as an undergraduate at the University of Colorado. "I was on a fishing trip using the brand new mini flashlight my family gave me as a gift. I was fishing at night with it, holding it in my mouth. Sure enough, I opened my mouth, and the flashlight fell out. I was staring down into the water, watching my still lit flashlight on the bottom when an idea hit me. That idea became the first product I ever made, the Headband Mini Flashlight Holder."

In years that have passed since that fishing trip, Nite Ize has grown from one bright idea into a company that makes and sells a wide variety of accessories, tools, and devices. The Nite Ize LED Upgrade Kit contains everything you need to turn your incandescent Maglite® into a super-efficient LED flashlight. Just replace your Maglite®'s existing bulb with this ultra bright, two pin/three bulb LED module (simple instructions on the package) and you're done.

Our IQ Switch not only has five different modes, it knows when to turn itself off. This easy-to-install tail cap switch comes in several versions to fit practically any Maglite^®. It features 5 light modes (100%, 50%, 25% power, slow, fast strobe) and 3 power levels, so you can choose the function you need for your particular task at hand and extend your battery life (by approximately four times!) in the process! And for extra battery conservation when you’re in the first three modes the flashlight turns itself off after 14.5 minutes when not in use, preventing accidental battery drainage.
