





Adventure
racing is one of the hardest sports out there - racing for days on end
through difficult terrain with next to no sleep, kayaking, running,
mountain-biking and more. That's why when Murray Thomas, leader of the team
now known as 'Team Bridgedale Socks', approached us for sponsorship a few
years back we figured he & his team would be the ideal test for the world's
best socks.
Murray has raced in every
Southern Traverse, and has been joined by some veritable sporting legends in

2005 - November:
Back to the West Coast of the South Island - this time around the rugged
mountains and coast in the Westport area for the Adventure Racing World
Champs. Read about their adventure here, with a new team of
Murray Thomas, Quenton Johnston, Sarah Clark and Ray Hope.
2004
- November: The one & only 'Team Bridgedale Socks' took on the
rugged West Coast around Hokitika, NZ. Check out some race picture here.
2004 August: Now
'Team Bridgedale', the guys headed off for the Adventure Racing World Champs
in Canada. Read about how they got on & a brief overview of the teams
outstanding efforts in the months leading up to the World Champs.
2003 November:
Racing as 'Team Icebreaker Bridgedale', the guys took the title in the
Southern Traverse around Dunedin, NZ - with nary a blister to mention.
2001 August: Racing
as 'Team Parallax' at the Adventure Racing
World Champs in Switzerland.
